Meet Ivan Lazarov

Ivan is a graduate from the Dual J.D. Program at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. During his time in law school, he placed as a finalist in both the 2017 Zuber Moot Competition and the 2017 Hicks Morley Moot Competition at Windsor Law. In the summer of 2018, Ivan worked as a Student Attorney at the United Community Housing Coalition in Detroit, Michigan, where he represented tenants in need facing eviction proceedings. He was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2020.

Prior to law school, he worked at a downtown Toronto law firm as a Legal Intern. Ivan holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts, with a Major in Ethics, Society, and Law and a Double Minor in English and Russian Literature from the University of Toronto.

Ivan is a volunteer at Lawyers Feed the Hungry in Timmins. In his spare time, Ivan writes poetry and fiction. He won the second-place prize in the OSSTF Marion Drysdale Poetry Contest. He is also an avid mountain biker. Ivan is fluent in Bulgarian.”

Ivan will be practicing in the areas of family law, real estate, employment law and civil litigation.
